This programme offers current first year students the opportunity to spend summer 2019 undertaking a fully funded internship in Shenzhen, China. It is an exciting programme which offers an international opportunity to students from backgrounds where participation in study or work abroad has traditionally been low.
Successful applicants to Bristol Interns in China will spend summer 2019 undertaking an eight week internship in Shenzhen, China. These internships are fully funded, this includes flights, accommodation and a stipend to cover living costs.
Students will receive an excellent level of support while in China and will also participate in extensive preparatory training throughout the 2018/19 year. This will include intercultural skills, Chinese business culture, and a Mandarin language course.
Shenzhen is an exciting and fast developing city, home to many of China’s leading technology and manufacturing companies. Internships can be sourced at a wide range of businesses, depending on student’s interests.
Bristol Interns in China is open to applicants who are current first year undergraduate students, and meet AT LEAST one of the following criteria:
– Are a mature student.
– Receive the University of Bristol bursary, or Bristol Scholars Bursary
– Are from a minority ethnic group.
– Are from an area of low progression to higher education.
